Shanvaus Apiary, situated in Manorhamilton, Co. Leitrim, was established by Reinhold Ostrau and Monika Edler in 1990 as a bee breeding and honey production business.

Since then our local honey as well as the pollen and a wide range of hand-crafted beeswax products - cosmetics, home care, and candles - have become well known in the area. Shanvaus Apiary has participated in the Farmers Market movement right from the start, attracting a substantial number of regular customers and new ones alike by keeping a high standard of quality and by continuously adding new and attractive items to their display.
Propolis processed in various forms, honey sweets, and carefully selected foreign honeys can now also be purchased.
