Let it be var.destructor or jacobsoni or one or two of half a dozen of associated viruses - it does not matter! This parasite is easy to diagnose and easily kept under control!

One of these creatures was found to be still alive and well when the tracheae of a  dissected bee where opened for a closer examination. The bee was one of a sample of 25 bees which where kept in a deep freezer for three hours at 18 degrees below zero.
