Shanvaus Apiary, situated in Manorhamilton, Co. Leitrim, was established by Reinhold Ostrau and Monika Edler in 1990 as a bee breeding and honey production business.

Since then our local honey as well as the pollen and a wide range of hand-crafted beeswax products - cosmetics, home care, and candles - have become well known in the area.

 After a very successful first run in 2008 Shanvaus Apiary is now delighted to be able to announce again a beekeeping course commencing in April 2011. Our FIRST MEETING  is at 3.00pm on Saturday, 16. APRIL 2011. Included in the package is a small starter unit of bees for each participant if he/she so wishes.

Our new web-store  www.shanvaus-apiary-online.net has recently opened. Here we offer you a small, but unique selection of equipment, all of them tested and used in our apiary successfully for many years, apart from those articles still new on the market.
